About Rallye Trieste-Vienna

(For direct access to registration forms, scroll to bottom)

Summary

The renowned OCC-Classic-Rallye-Trieste-Vienna is taking off in its 9th consecutive year. It will kick off on September 21st, 2011, at the shores of the Adriatic Sea and will last through September 24th, when the participants will reach their tour destination in the ever impressive city of Vienna. The rallye is bound to be a spectacular event: 4 days - 3 countries - 2 classes.
In 2011, as usual, the rallye will be split into two distinct competitions: The Regularity and Race Classes. In Regularity Class, calm accuracy down to hundredths of seconds counts as regularity speed is measured in special stages, whereas in Race Class full throttle skills as well as the power and quality of the cars determine the winner in the end.

In-Depth-Information

Classes of Competition and Eligibility

This year’s OCC Classic Rallye Trieste-Vienna is a classic car rallye for cars built in 1980 and before and it is divided into two categories:

1. Historic Regularity Class

In Regularity Class, the team with the smallest aberrations from pre-set average speeds in special stages will be ranked first. The participants can expect average speed special stages, open measurements with visible photocells as well as open measurements with small tubes crossing the road. This class of competition is designed to cater to expert drivers who wish to compete against their equals but at the same time gives the less experienced and beginners a chance to test and improve their skills in a wonderful setting and at exactly the level of effort and stress that each and every individual likes to expose himself to. Here is the unique chance to enjoy driving old cars with either ambition or ease without interfering with somebody else's likings. After hours at the bar everybody belongs to the same team!

2. Historic Race Class

In Race Class, the purpose is to be the fastest team after going through about 10-12 special stages. Those are always closed-off streets, tracks or circuits, but always paved. Connecting legs will be finished in a predetermined time with the help of a roadbook. Race Class is designed as a FIA event and will be fully compliant with the regulations set by FIA. Drivers need to be licensed and cars need to have the current FIA compliance-document with them. Race Class is a very competitive environment and one should really know what they are doing to compete in this class.

Both classes are basically following the same rough route during the event, excluding special stages. Their tracks will cross on several occasions so that participants of Regularity Class will have the chance to catch a glimpse or two of the spectacular action in Race Class if they desire to do so.

Entry fees / Period of Announcement / Cancellations

Entry Fees per vehicle cover driver and co-driver. Every entrant basically agrees to pay the full fee by the end of the announcement period, which will be June 30. Should we receive a team's entry form and payment before January 15th, 2011 – and only then – an Early Bird discount may be deducted.

Regularity Class - Entry Fee:

• Early Bird Discount is € 300 from that, which brings the fee to € 800
Race Class entry fee
• Full fee is € 2.350
• Early Bird discount is € 600 from that, which brings the fee to € 1.750
Late registration (after June 30th, 2011) is generally possible with approval from the organizer. It depends on slots available and incurs an extra fee of € 300.

Participants' staff and guests can be registered and be part of the entire program. The fee for each additional person is € 400, regardless of class, and includes catering and access to evening events. Hotel packages (premium and classic) can also be purchased for these persons.

A signed participation form entails the obligation to pay the entry fee. The entry fee must be paid by June 30th the latest.

The entry fee is generally non-refundable, with two general exceptions:
• If an entry is rejected by the organizer, the entry fee will be refunded in full
• In case of a cancellation of the event due to an "act of god" (natural disaster, ozone alert etc.) a third of the registration fee will be retained to cover the cost of the organization.
Paid, but unclaimed services cannot be refunded.

Changes and adjustments can be made by the organizer any time.

Period of Announcement

The final date of entry is June 30th, 2011. In order to be eligible for an early Early Bird bonus, the registration form must be received by us and the entry fee must be paid into our account before January 15st, 2011.
